You failed to mention how his performance/production was compared to you and your peers. In a number of situations, folks like that can produce at very high levels.

In the "REAL" world it is not how long one works but the results they attain.

Why are you so concerned about what other people are doing? Are you his boss? Sound like jealousy!

Ignore them and do your job. Somebody will notice. If you are not a supervisor don't sweat it.

I just figure some folks ain't got it in them to hump and get it, I'm a customer glass fabricator, lol I like to think I'm the best, and let my performance speak for itself. The lazy will weed themselves out.

Situations like this are very frustrating. They make it hard to want to continue to do what you know you should do. Best you can do is continue to be a dependable reliable employee, and not let someone else affect who you are. Chances are, the supervisors know what is happening and will eventually act on it. They may be shorthanded and looking for a replacement, or have started the disciplinary process without your knowledge. Continue to be the great worker you are and the scales will usually balance out in the end.
