So are they hiring or not?!

I called Walmart yesterday morning, asked them if the manager was there, he was, but the person I talked to yesterday had told me that they weren't hiring anymore, apparently. Then they told me that the manager had just hired about 18 people. I told them I've been expecting the manager's call for a while now, but haven't gotten it. I asked her if it would be a good idea to get in ready for an interview (like everyone's been suggesting), and she said no because the manager likes to interview you OVER THE PHONE! And if he likes the way you sound, you'll get the job. She told me that the manager likes people who can work any time of day, hours, etc., and I told her I have SUPER flexible hours in school, so that helps me to work anytime. This is such bullshit! Someone please just give me some actual advice about this that sums up what the lady told me over the phone, because help me StarClan! I'm so fed up with this, but Walmart is the only closest thing I work at. Should I call everyday? Should I walk in and ask for the manager himself? I really need a job for college, and I'm losing hope.

Call and ask to talk to their People Lead ( that is the person that deal with hiring people for different positions in the store). The Store Manager don’t do the interview but the Team Leads or Coaches from the certain department do the interview.I hope this helps you a little.Good 🍀 luck.

What I loved about working at #Walmart was had good management when I started working there.

After being there 7 years that changed . started bringing 8n managers fresh off the block, without proper knowledge of their job responsibilitys and performance, how to treat trust worthyemployees with respect would of been nice.

Walmart on 4021 Lagniappe Way

I am a associate that works at Walmart in 4021 Lagniappe Way Tallahassee Florida 32317 store #4520 I have called out a couple of times due to baby being took to er, to me being rushed to er or my husband being rushed to er. Everytime I called out the hr lady would say I’m going to be terminated which isn’t right when someone can help that they are sick. Also other associates have been having issues with her too. The other day after returning from my sisters wedding I was suppose to take a shift At work for someone. I ended up having to call in because code enforcement showed up at my door to make sure my house was livable. Come to find out they said we had to get all our things and move out cause it’s getting condemned that isn’t safe for 5 babies to be in or us adults. The next day I sent the hr lady a text saying I won’t be able to work at that walmart I’m moving. mind you I been asking a week before code enforcement came if I can get a transfer to the other Walmart that I would be close to because I already knew my place was gonna be getting condemned so I would have to go stay with a friend. She texted back that I have been terminated due to attendance that she was suppose to fix is what corporate said and I was on my days off when she supposedly terminated me that she wishes me luck. She kept saying since I’m in my 90 days she said I can’t. I ended calling corporate telling them what’s going on they said she has to give me a hardship transfer and she never terminated me that she was trying to get me to loose my job. They also said they will get ahold of my store manager let her know what’s going on and get her to call me to get everything straightened out and get my transfer done. It’s been 3 days and still no phone call from the store manager. Only from the hr manager which corporate said that to not go through her no more to go through my store manager to stay clear. Little does the hr manager knows I’ve worked for Walmart 2 1/2 year ago. I’m not new to this. I know everything about it. I’m sick and tired of how Walmart it treating me I’m still a associate is what it says in their system and I’m still trying to get my store manager to give me a hardship transfer. #walmart #termination #management #advice
