How would I find out if I can or cannot be hired back at a family dollar store under new management?
Offer letter?
I applied last week, the manager said I should be getting the offer letter in my email (did the background check already) but I haven’t received it yet. Is this normal? It’s been about 2 days since he said he sent it. Tried to call the store but he’s not in today. #familydollar #hiring
Nothing in your spam? If you are using google check Promotion's tab. Call him tomorrow and just let him know. I wouldn't worry. Retail managers get so busy that they forget. If they had you do a background check, I think you are fine. Definitely follow up when he is in. Good luck!
Thank you! I just logged back into the application portal and it says I’m hired for two different stores, as cashier AND assistant manager! So I’ll def have to wait until tomorrow to clear it up.

What does an average day at Family Dollar look like?
I can answer that. I worked there for almost 2 years. I'll tell you what it's like. If you work up front as a cashier, you're responsible for all the stocking and running the register while doing that. If you're an assistant manager like I was after being promoted from being a cashier, you stock all the heavy stuff in the back. So by the end of the day you're worn out from stocking, running back an forth from being called up front for voids, or customer complaints or helping a cashier get the line down or getting money for the cashier... you get the gist of it. Family Dollar stores usually have 2 people day and 2 people night. BUT if you get in a larger store where they actually have more employees, then you might get lucky enough to be just a cashier or just a stocker. Good luck.
