New this year, Best Buy is offering a minimum of $15 per hour starting pay, flexible schedule, competitive wages, and an employee discount.
I got hired by Best Buy two weeks ago, and they said that I'd receive my offer letter and a call discussing my hours the following week. I never got a call, so I called them the next day to ask. They confirmed that I still had the job, just that the hiring manager needed to speak with the store manager for the offer letter/start date, and that I should get it by the next day or the day after.
It's now Monday and I still have no offer letter or start date. Everyone I know who works for a branch of the store is confirming that if they said I got the job, I got the job, and that it can take few weeks to actually start, but I don't even have an official offer letter.
Since I know it's the holiday season and they're probably busy, would it be rude to keep following up every week? I've been told I wasn't forgotten about, but I don't have any confirmation that I have the job other than that the back office manager told me I did. And the three people I interviewed with, including the GM, saying I did. Just wanted to make sure I'm not out of line.
The people I worked with in the computer department and the tech bench (now Geek Squad). We may have had differing ideologies concerning religion and politics, but our shared love of computers and the latest technology brought us together and kept us together as a team.
Had an interview at Best Buy two days ago and loved the store I applied to. I hope I get the job. The employees seemed so nice and the discount would definitely help me out. I guess I will see what happens. Anyone else work there before? What do I do now?
