I just came across this super helpful post by @Sharon B in the Jobcase Basics community group that I wanted to share! Definitely worth checking out as it relates to tax guidance 🖤

$600 Reporting Rule Delayed
The IRS is delaying the $600 rule for the 2022 tax year so, for now, you will only receive a 1099-K if you went over the current threshold of $20,000. Of course, the IRS still requires taxpayers to report all taxable income.
Will this affect you? Did you know about it? Is this going to impact how you do your taxes?

What can a person do when the Florida unemployment people will not send or give me access to my tax form? I talked to one person and they said to resend my ID info- that was 3 weeks ago and I still do not have access to the form on line nor have they emailed me one, despite repeated requests.

The new stimulus checks might have been sent out but were you aware of these tax breaks too? Be sure to follow Jobcase on Tik Tok for more great tips on work life & your money. #taxes #unemployment

I am! I wasn't employed for all of 2020 and according to this article, they might pass a law that helps relieve some of the taxes owed if you collected unemployment in 2020.

What if you were out of work all of 2019. And only worked like a week in 2020 and was payed cash for that week. What do you file then? I was out with an injury for a year and then got back to work right as the pandemic. Closed everything down. I recieved no stimulus checks and only 3 months of unemployment.

Hi @Regina Burton ; we are not tax experts so we cannot help with this. I'd suggest reaching out to a local tax experts, or a company like H&R Block or TurboTax. Good luck!
