Just wondering where everyone is from- I'm in MO. Looking for part time work away from home or full time work remote. I really do need something remote and having hard time finding something legit that I don't need a degree for. I own two very small side businesses (dog treat bakery & photography) and have three kids who are in school I need to be home for as well to get off to and get from bus stop and in the summer. which makes it very hard to find work. #momof3 #remotework

I've seen many complaints stating that remote work or "work at home" or Jobcase jobs are a scam. ALL of these jobs are NOT scams. However, you need to be more diligent. You need to do your research. You need to look up these companies. If the company does not have a REAL and LEGIT website that you can go to and look through (it's quite possible that the job is not real). If the company does not have real, working phone numbers that you can call and talk to real people (in a professional environment------not someone's personal cell phone number). Are the e-mails real (companies generally do not give you a personal email account---or yahoo or gmail--- for contact info)? Is this a real company with a legit website, call and email those professional numbers from the website. Is this a company where I can find more information about online. If not, it may not be legit. Trust your instincts when you are online and take some time to really delve into a company before applying especially if it is a company you have never heard of....

Also, many scammers use the name of real companies to lure you in. You can contact these companies directly and ask them if they are hiring or tell them about the post that you saw. Do not use the contact information in the ad, use the contact information you find online for that company. Note individuals who work for that company in HR and call or email them. Become serious about your job search and be careful while online.

One significant effect of the Covid-19 pandemic was the drastic increase in remote working. The lockdowns, quarantines, and self-imposed isolation pushed companies to consider home working, accelerating a workplace experience that had struggled to gain popularity before the pandemic.

However, with the reopening of economies, the question remains: Is working from home a thing of the past? Read on and learn more about the future of remote work.

Have you given careful thought about working from home? Yes, I know, everyone's doing it. The pandemic forced a huge part of the workforce to work from home but have you ever considered doing it or what it might take?

Here are a few helpful hints to help you get started:

  1. You will need a dedicated workspace or area. It can mean simply setting up a work desk or dedicating an extra room as an office.

  2. It would also be helpful to set up scheduled work hours. This can help you manage your time and your day. You can easily fall into the habit of working anytime and all the time. I recommend using a schedule and timers to keep you on track (and also to help you remember to take breaks---it's easy to get caught up in bad habits when working from home).

Please feel free to add any beginner steps for those who want to start working from home in the comments.
