Low pay, no hours. They bait you in the door then when you finally get in there after the execessively lengthy hiring process, its nothing like advertised. They are offering 10-17 an hour in a non climate controlled shop with very limited overtime. Ie. 41-44 hrs total a week. The lead mechanic cant pass sae certification and they treat basic things like water pump swaps like an advanced technological process. The management is sub par. Go elsewhere like speedco or petro, they have better hours and pay (20+/hr). If you like hard, exhausting, bodily abusive work then this is the place for you.

Good year for me was not good, I had came out army. As an airborne man, I cud run nonstop for 18 miles. I had lung infection before the first year was over. I got intestin infection that lasted 20 years. I was operated on and the doctor told me he could run his finer through my intestines any where he wanted to.. The chimecials they use is not healthy to some humans. I feel that I was wronged by good year,I was pulled off my job and sent to force veration machine area to put tires on empty hooks. That was my last day of work for Goodyear. I felt I been on my job for 7 years and was sent my last day to different job that I was forced to leave at one time. I feel the union and Goodyear did me wrong. I had over 10 years service and now I draw79.79 a month retirement.
