I loved the energy. Liked my job feeding my students making sure my students were ready to learn. Breakfast is the most important part of the day . I just loved making sure my students were okay. Had their thinking caps on. Just the interaction with students parents and the faculty.

What made me stay at #Detroit Board of Education was
The children were so needy, smart, and nice. The students were so compassionate. They needed the simple things in life (direction, balance, guidances, time, opportunity…) which I thought that I could provide. The students are still the same. They deserve a new strategy & administration for learning. They need individual mentors, smaller classes and required parent participation. I thought that I could make a difference but the system is bigger, too big, than my little efforts. The children are great it is us adults that need to with the times!

- Ability to read/write instructions in English
