Minimum wages should be based on cost of living for the area not across the board. Is the cost of living say in Mississippi the same as California. With increases of minimum wage comes increases in cost to the consumer, as it cost company's more in labor they pass that cost on. When the minimum wage went to $ 15.00 an hour in San Francisco Bay area it cost jobs as many companies moved out or mom and pop places closed for they could not afford to pay a dishwasher as an example 15.00 an hour for if you where the lead cook you would want more than the dishwasher ( I'm not putting down a dishwasher) just pointing fact that this increase cost like groceries, gas, rent , ECT ECT

NYC Expenses!!!
I have been trying for the longest to bring new security personnel to the company I work for but New York makes it very difficult. Trying to get someone who is currently unemployed to be able to afford the expensive security guard training classes, paying for the background fingerprint checks and the license fee is not easy. Are other states this expensive when it comes to licensing fees?

Arlington, VA
Hope all is well, I recently had an interview in Arlington. I'm from C.T. and have a 13yr old daughter. Just wanted to put out in the atmosphere if any one has an intake on Schools, Best places to live, etc. What I do see, the cost of living is just about/near the same as C.T. which I was hoping for a lesser cost of living.....-HELP
