Many companies seek employees that have left in good standings. It is the professional and ethical thing to do even if the company that you are leaving did not display the same during your employment with them.

Interesting, it's very strange times. I get offers for companies that are 1,000-3,000 miles away, and they want you to relocate for the position. But they do not want to pay for relocation. When did relocation assistance stop? Is this an effect from Covid shutdown? Most jobs now offer remote positions, but this isn't an excuse to stop relocation assistance. Corporations seem to be taking advantage of the employment landscape and the reduced work force. Forcing you, the employee, to take any job any available as it comes.
