Your new employer wants you to start immediately but your current employer wants you to finish a two-week notice period. What do you do?

I would talk to my current employer and see if he could let me go sooner that did not work and he cannot see me down I will talk to the new employer and tell him I'm loyal and I just think I need to finish finish the two weeks that I am with if you can just hold off the 2 weeks ill be here first thing after 2 weeks I hope you can understand

Start immediately

Ask your new employer if they would go with one week to start so that you can honor your relationship with your current employer so split the difference and hopefully both employers can be understanding of the position you are in. Dont burn bridges and if you ask the right way hopefully all will be happy. But if push comes to shove go with the new employer if the work conditions and wages are better.

I have always given a 2 weeks notice. By giving this notice, even if not required, it is an act of professionalism and respect. It ensures that you have left the job with a clean track record. Many companies seek employees that have left in good standings. It is the professional and ethical thing to do even if the company that you are leaving did not display the same during your employment with them.

I WOULD LET THEM KNOW WE ARE AN AT WILL STATE AND IM SORRY BUT OUR TIME HAS ENDED

I'm such a workaholic I work both jobs I will work one on one shift and the other on the other shelf for two weeks

Two weeks don’t happen

Take new job.i wanted out anyway.Time to move on when I can

If the existing employer was good to you, don't burn any bridges. The new employer should respect your decision if they are truly good enough for you to change companies.
No employer will give anybody 2 weeks to get fired, they just want time to replace you at their convenience, they do nt give us 2 weeks to prepare for no work, ditch them now and feel good at your new job.
