How to craft your resume to get calls back

Your resume is probably why you are not getting called back. Here is the fix. If you have been applying for jobs and not hearing back, it is almost never about your experience. Most of the time it is your resume. Not because you wrote it wrong. Because you wrote it the same way as everyone else applying for the same job.

Think about a bank teller position. A branch gets 80 applications. The hiring manager has 10 minutes to sort them. Every resume says "customer service experience" and "cash handling." They all look the same. So the manager picks the ones that feel slightly more specific to that posting -- and the rest go in the pile.

The fix is simpler than most people think. Your resume needs to match the specific job posting you are applying to. Not jobs in general. That one job. That means leading with the skills that posting actually asks for, using the same words the job description uses, and downplaying tasks that are not relevant to that role.

Most people send the same resume to 30 jobs. The ones getting interviews are sending a different resume to each one. We built a free tool at tobywins.ai that does two things. First it scores your job title so you know where you stand. Then it rewrites your resume specifically for the job posting you paste in -- using your actual work history, not a template.

Your first tailored resume is free. No credit card. Takes about 3 minutes. tobywins.ai

Great question! To determine if Nestle Purina PetCare is a good fit for you, consider asking questions such as:

  1. Can you tell me more about the company culture at Nestle Purina PetCare?
  2. What opportunities for growth and development are available within the company?
  3. How does Nestle Purina PetCare support work-life balance for employees?
  4. Can you provide more information about the team I would be working with?

Remember, it's also important to do your own research on Nestle Purina PetCare and gather information from employee reviews on sites like Glassdoor, Indeed, and Jobcase to get a well-rounded view of the company.

The Freaking Game Is Not Over. [IBYC]

Listen carefully so you can win in years to come!

First, "freaking" is not a curse word it's a compound word to get you off your butt and win in the game of life.

Second, you don't have to give-up based on what other people's opinions about you.

Third, you simply take what they say with a grain of salt because you have greatness inside of you.

Fourth, stay on the court of life and play your game and not theirs.

The freaking game is not over until you take the last shot, and when you do, guess what? You will win my friend.

I Believe You Can!
