Creating a degree you don't have is pretty easy. ... And most employers believe, in my opinion, that if someone will lie about his or her degree, there are other lies on the candidate's resume, and that the lying won't stop if they hire the person. It's an easy integrity check.
I'm a little confused; how is screaming the college (at the 6:08 point of this video) helping people getting a job with a fake degree? The title says: "How People Are Lying About Having a Degree...." You are not scamming the college; your falsification is to the EMPLOYER OF THE BUSINESS... It seems to me that a person would be using a fake college degree under false pretenses. That's the scam.
Worst-case scenarios for lying
Some employers may bring criminal charges against current and even ex-employees who starting working for their company through false pretenses. Depending on the severity of the allegations, this has occasionally led to prison sentences for the individuals concerned. Despite the gross dishonesty and unfair advantage you get over trustworthy job seekers, the only illegal lie pertains to education. The law prohibits any kind of falsification regarding things like college or university diplomas and degrees.
