First let me assure you it is safe and employees are being protected. #PPE is and was a issue. Things have gotten better since then and yes you receive proper protection. The medical field is in desperate need of filling all kinds of positions at local Hospital's. From Nurses, Food Services, CNA’S, Care attendants are just some of the positions. What to expect? The healthcare field is a field that requires a special person to work. Caring for a love one or a stranger makes it even more rewarding. As we continue through the pandemic, hospital’s are seeing a need for help. Here is what a day is like working at the hospital. I check in at 6:45 AM your temperature is taken, you are asked a series of questions relating to your health. Next you are issued face mask, shields and other items. Gloves and hand sanitizer is spread throughout each unit for use. 7:00 AM the supervisor issues you task for the day. This includes assisting with patients getting ready for the day. Dressing, washing, the basics. Next it is checking on your patients regularly making sure they spirts are up. Concerns needing to be addressed? Before you know it, the clock is close to 12:30 PM Lunch Time! 1:00 PM. Just when you are asking where did the time go? Lights are on and you are back handling the rounds. Taking people outside for 30 minutes, back to filling stations and preparing for the next shift. It’s 6:30 PM and the supervisor is asking who wants overtime? So I sign up, and another 8 hours to go.
