Yes, Zillow does offer remote positions, including customer support, operations, recruiting, coordination, and hiring-related roles depending on current business needs. Zillow operates as a “cloud-headquartered” company and has publicly stated that many employees work remotely across the United States. ()

At this time, Zillow appears to regularly post remote opportunities involving: • Customer Support • Operations Coordination • Recruiting & HR Support • Customer Experience • Administrative & Scheduling Support • Sales & Service Operations

While specific “Remote Customer Hiring Coordinator” positions may vary based on hiring demand, Zillow continues to maintain remote-first career opportunities through its official careers platform. ()

Professional advice for applicants interested in Zillow remote opportunities:

• Apply directly through the official Zillow Careers website rather than third-party listings • Tailor your resume using keywords from the specific job posting • Highlight customer service, scheduling, recruiting, administrative, communication, and remote-work experience • Demonstrate strong computer, CRM, and virtual communication skills • Emphasize self-management, reliability, and ability to work independently in remote environments

For remote customer support or coordinator-type roles, employers often look for: • Strong communication skills • Multitasking ability • Microsoft Office or Google Workspace experience • Scheduling and coordination experience • Customer service background • Problem-solving and organizational skills • Remote work professionalism

Helpful resources: • Zillow Careers • Zillow Remote Opportunities

Zillow appears to continue expanding remote and distributed work opportunities, particularly in customer-facing, operations, and support-related positions. ()

How does the paid time off policy work at Maimonides Medical Center?

From what most hospital employees share, PTO usually builds up over time based on how long you've been there and how many hours you work. Some staff get separate sick days and vacation days while others have it all lumped into one pool. The best thing to do is just ask HR straight up when you're going through the hiring process since it can also differ based on your role or whether you're part of a union. Don't be shy about asking, it's a totally normal question.

The paid time off (PTO) policy at Maimonides Medical Center can vary depending on the employee’s position, union status, department, and years of service. However, employees and publicly available benefit information indicate that the organization generally offers vacation time, sick leave, personal days, and holiday benefits for eligible employees. ()

For many employees and residency programs, PTO may include: • Vacation days accrued annually • Paid sick leave • Personal days • Bereavement leave • Family and medical leave options • Paid holidays for eligible staff ()

Some employee reports indicate: • PTO accrual increases with years of service • Vacation requests may require advance approval from management • PTO usage can depend on staffing levels and department scheduling needs ()

For medical residents specifically, publicly available program information references: • Approximately 20 vacation days annually • Around 12 sick days annually • Additional leave options for medical or family-related situations ()

Professional advice for applicants or employees:

Request a copy of the official employee benefits handbook during onboarding or the interview process Ask HR specifically about: • PTO accrual rates • Carryover rules • Sick leave policies • Holiday eligibility • Union-specific benefits if applicable Clarify whether PTO is combined into one bank or separated into vacation and sick leave categories Understand any probationary periods before PTO can be used

Helpful resources: • Maimonides Careers Benefits Page • Maimonides Employee Benefits Information

Because hospital systems often have different policies based on role classification, union contracts, and seniority, it is always best to verify the exact PTO structure directly with Human Resources for the specific position being considered.

University of the Pacific, like many other higher education institutions, may offer some remote or hybrid work options for certain positions. I recommend reaching out directly to their HR department or checking their career portal for the most up-to-date information on their telecommuting policies. Additionally, you can explore job search websites such as Jobcase, Indeed, and FlexJobs to find remote job opportunities in higher education. Good luck in your job search!

Based on what is generally known about University of the Pacific they do offer some flexible and hybrid work arrangements depending on the department and role. Administrative and staff positions tend to have more flexibility than faculty or student facing roles which usually require in person presence. That said policies can vary quite a bit by department so the best thing to do is check their official HR page or ask directly during the hiring process to get a clear picture of what is available for the specific role you are looking at.

Data entry and transcription work are good starting points since they are straightforward, flexible and most platforms do not run background checks. Sites like Rev, TranscribeMe and Clickworker let you work at your own pace from home which is important given your health needs. Freelance platforms like Fiverr or Upwork are also worth exploring for simple tasks like copy paste work, basic research or virtual assistance since you are essentially working for yourself there. The felony being non violent and older also helps more than people realize since a lot of remote gig based work simply does not ask.
