All you need is a high school diploma and good listening skills. Your co-workers are often friendly and the "Leads" are fair and understanding. The pay is good too. I'm sad I had to leave. But this housing thing is hard!

Does anyone know what the interview process at Walmart is like?

Literally just to make sure you aren't actively on meth and and will probably still let you work. Rotation and slave wages is the name of the game...

It's a typical interview. They will give you different scenarios that you need an answer for. Try not to say things like "um" or "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" come up with an answer. Examples: What are your strengths? "I'm reliable, always on time, pour everything into my work" What are your weaknesses? "Sometimes I'm too detail oriented and that can slow me down." Tell me of a time when you had a problem with a coworker and how did you deal with the situation? "Once a co worker had an issue with how I was completing a task. She thought I was doing it incorrectly. I asked her opinion about how she thought it should be done. We discussed our different opinions and came up with the best option for completing the task." Just examples. Hoped that helped

What kind of training does Walmart offer their employees?

It depends on the job that you apply for I started off in the deli so I got training in the department

It's hands on and computer training
I found the Careers Page for Walmart and did a search for San Antonio, Texas! They have plenty of open positions, I'm sure it will be a breeze to get a cashier position there, especially with your years of experience! Don't hesitate to apply online! Good Luck! š¤
