As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the journey all of us in this group have been on. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the strength, resilience, and support that defines this community.

In a couple months it will be eight years since I was released from a federal prison camp in the mountains of West Virginia. That cold February night I was dropped off outside by the town driver to await the Greyhound bus that would take me to my fresh start. Not all days have been a step forward, but I can clearly see the path that lie behind me, and there is no doubt I have stepped forward more than I have stepped back.

This Thanksgiving let’s celebrate the progress we’ve made, the obstacles we’ve overcome, and the positive impact we continue to create.

I’m immensely thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this group – a source of inspiration, understanding, and shared experiences. It’s a reminder that we are not defined by our past, but by the strength and determination we exhibit every day.

I wish you all a Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, warmth, and the joy of shared moments. Together, we’ve shown that even in the face of adversity, there is room for growth, connection, and thankfulness.

I don’t think life will ever be easy, nor will it be fair, but life isn’t what we make it; life is who we are… Right now… In this moment, because this moment is all we ever really have. Each moment to come we all get the chance to begin anew.

Cheers to each and every one of you, and may the spirit of Thanksgiving bring peace and joy to your hearts... #Gratitude #Thanksgiving #Peace #Love

Thanksgiving is just a few days away and I like spending the days leading up to the holiday reflecting on all the things that I am grateful for this year.

One thing I am thankful for is my friends, family, and coworkers who are there to support me through another crazy, unpredictable year. ♥️

Last #Thanksgiving Eve, I was bartending at a local hotspot in the Boston area. (In case you didn't know... the night before Turkey Day is the BIGGEST drinking night of the year in the United States.)

We were short staffed and it was just myself and one other bartender ... BOY did we get rocked! We were so busy that a barback from a different restaurant next door came in to help us. In just 5 hours, we did more sales than we had the last two FULL DAYS combined!!!

I walked out of work at 5:15 AM that morning, feeling like I got trampled by a herd of wild animals. Nearly a year later and I still cringe when I hear someone order a "vodka, soda, splash of cran".... 🍸

Have you ever had a CRAZY day at work?? Share below!

I wish every day could be Thanksgiving so that we can constantly remind ourselves of everything that we should be grateful for. It’s easy to take our lives for granted and forget about others who are not as fortunate.

I personally want to express how grateful I am for everyone in this Jobcase community. The advice and emotional support that each of you provide makes such a difference to others out there that have nowhere else to turn. You seldom get recognize for the time you take to help a stranger. Yet, you do it anyways. Thank you.

I’m also grateful for all the hard workers out there that make the holidays possible. Thank you to all the seasonal retail workers and those of you in the service industry for working the hours that are spent away from your families. Cheers to all the medical professionals keeping the sick healthy. Thank you to everyone representing the military, law enforcement, and first responders for keeping us all safe.

Kindness, love, dedication, and sacrifice - that is what makes us all beautiful people and I am grateful that so many of us have not forgotten these values despite the hard times that we encounter.
