I quit selling automobiles at a Honda store where I was told it would be asinine to think I could ever move up there. I walked through the next door restaurant parking lot and in the main door of the Dodge Ram store. I got a job selling automobiles and worked my way up to the Director of Financial Services within 6 months. I proved to myself that given the opportunity, I can grow into that role.

Came across an interesting post where someone was told they needed more tact, just sharing a few thoughts. Being tactful doesn't come naturally, it's a quality that's developed over time. A great way to get started is by trying to apply it in all our conversations with others, in our daily interactions. This is most important when we may not see eye to eye, or have the authority to force a decision especially in a business setting. If we practice showing tact to everyone we meet, it eventually becomes who we are. Remembering "the golden rule"; treating others as we'd like to be treated, can help soften our approach when addressing even the most difficult situations. When the goal is to build up, people will sense it and even hard topics will be easier to discuss. Hope this helps :) If not, I still thank you for your time. P.S. this was rushed, sorry if it's not clear :) Best wishes to you and everyone here; thanks for reading. #inspire #motivation #advice

I'd say the most important tool in finding an ideal job is finding a good recruiter. Beyond that, most of it seems to be experience, tenacity, and luck.

First, know your job and your reaponsibilities and perform them well. Lifetime of work experience has taught me no one will listen without animosity to anyone that does not know what they are doing and does not work as hard or harder than they do.

Just know that it happens to every single person at a new job. Always ask questions, and try to be confident about yourself knowing that eventually you’ll get confident with what you’re doing.
