Job Description:
- The material mover will assist in our manufacturing facility by moving equipment and parts, cleaning, organizing, performing basic assembly and manufacturing tasks and performing other functions as needed. The material mover may assist in the preparation of orders for shipment and the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives.
Job Description:
- Load, unload, store, and deliver materials and equipment from/to designated locations
- Prep and kit parts according to documented sheets for assembly operations
- Assist in inventory maintenance and cleanup
- Clean up material areas, possibility of filling in emptying trash and picking up cardboard
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and other material movers
- Keep work area clean and maintain equipment in proper working order
- Data entry for inventory tracking and as otherwise needed
- Fill out time cards and other required documentation
Skills:
- Ability to work without supervision while also working within larger team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Basic Word and Excel skills for data entry and updates
- Vocational, technical or high school education
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
- Prior experience operating forklifts and loading/unloading pallets
