Have you been fired for someone esomeone else's Facebook post?
I worked at Kuschel Chandler Insurance. When I first started my original boss Bob, was amazing. He was a great mentor, and encouraged me. When I told him I was going to do my P&C license he was happy. He didn't know I had been studying.
The Insurance company was sold to Joe. Joe always treated me differently. Like I was below him. One da in January of 2020, he texted me to ask me to ask my friend to remove a Facebook post, because the topic of county employees was in it. His wife is management of public health. I was at my 2nd job, so I didn't get it right away. I told him I hadn't seen it. So I took a screen shot of his message, blacked out his phone number, and sent it to her. I knew things were about to go from bad to worse. She is very intelligent was on the lawyers board ethic board, amongst other things. Than he asked me to ask another person who had shared her post to delete them. The 2nd person is a true patriot, I asked the 2nd person also. In text message Joe told me he thought they would listen to me. 02/18/2020. Joe called me into his office. Which he never had done. I grabbed my phone and recorded the conversation. He was tling me I was fired, but wouldn't tell me why. He gave me a contract, he wanted me to sign. He wanted to pay me $3003 to shut me up, and if I told anyone he could sue me. I consulted a lawyer, and was told don't do it. So sense I'm bad at being polite, I told him, I will not sell my soul to the devil for something I did not do. He was shocked, cause Im low income and he thought money would talk. The next day 02/19/2020, I tried to deliver time sensitive information to him. He wasn't in the office, and wanted to get my coworker involved. Which I absolutely refused to do. I delivered the paper on 02/20/2020. I told him it had time sensitive information. He said he would look at it the following week. I told him, he just might want to open it now. Minnesota Law has time sensitive employment laws. He was not happy. Maybe next time he will not under estimate poor people. #wrongfullytermination #termination #know employment laws
