Something I learned at #Home Instead Senior Care of Salisbury ...

I learned How to interact with Alzheimer’s patients. When asking a question of your patient, give them several minutes to process the question. If you repeat the question to soon, it starts the process over again and adds frustration.

My coworkers. Granted, not ALL of them were fun or easy to work with, but the vast majority of them are good people. I don't miss the job, but I do miss the people. The company, overall, is a good company to work for. They just need to tighten their rules on what it takes to work there. Hiring warm bodies will get you the numbers, but it can be more of a hindrance in the long run.

I loved the people I worked with in the Deptford, NJ store. Our Manager and Asst. Mgrs. were great. The money was below minimum wage. Also, the hours were long. I am a woman who weighs 108. They put me in flooring and luckily some good coworkers helped lift. I asked to become a cashier and they moved me and I became "cashier of the year". I enjoyed my coworkers but no benefits for part time workers.
