The biggest mistake I made as a #ElectronicTechnician at #ThunderValleyCasinoResort ...

That is easy to answer. I learned my lesson the hard way. There's no loyalty in a business work relationship. Any company will use you for as long as they can and release you with or without cause any time. So my advise is take care of yourself first.

YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE! (Write your own script.) [IBYC]

I'm telling you the truth...(This is for YOU!)

THOUGHT: Many people will only have a snap-shot of life, others will see the big picture, however, only a few will watch their video of life which tells them which direction to go if they want to have their definition of success.

TAKEAWAYS: Don't ever miss out of having life's of a marvelous life, that was meant for you to be. If things are not going good in your life, sometimes you have change the channels to get a better reception and a clearer picture in life for yourself.

TREASURES: Know this evidence to be true, as noted in the illustration below, that: If no one opens the doors for your success, or the cameras fail to roll, perhaps the TV stations in life just doesn't work. Then, turn on your own teleprompter and live your best life now! Someone will notice you if you reach out!

I Believe You Can...!

I was surprised that the dealing prrince with customer and employee training should be based on detailed task procedures not on the experience of the employ to safeguard the Establishment firing process. The procedures is too broad and not written by the manager or a accountant . It mentioned opening and closing of shift not detailing task procedure. procedures. I have asked during my 6.5 hours of orientation how long the Casino was in operation.the answer was 23yrs and I point out the policy was too broad and it should have been improved for that long.

Drama at #L'Auberge

I got fired. Yep. For doing my job, watching players play and dealers deal. Player didn't like how I watched him play, complained and had help orchestrating his complaint by a Superior that went to HR. During my HR hearing, they offered me the chance to RESIGN, lol, nope. Fire me for doing my job, please. And they did. Their loss.

I am interested in a part-time TV position, but need a full-time job to go with it.

I got contacted by a TV station in another state and really want this if I can get it. It is one of those "foot in the door" jobs. I have both a bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism and wish to return to this field, ultimately as a reporter. But I will need a full-time job to go along with it, with hours I can count on, depending on how many hours the TV station offers. I normally don't have a problem with working flexible hours but I don't want to scare the TV station away. What do I need to do?

HEY PR FOLK: DON'T BE LAZY

I applied for a spokesperson at an area county. 12 hours later I received a message that "I didn't meet qualifications". I called the H-R office and spoke with the woman who had reviewed my resume. Her response: "You worked in TV, we are looking for a P-R professional" I asked her if she knew what we did in TV day in day out like a MAS*H unit of information, we get it in and flip it daily. This did no good, she told me she had been instructed to look for "certain things" and "I didn't make the cut". I told her the application listed a degree in communications and/or experience. It did not specify P-R.

My message to H-R folks: Don't be this worker. Explore backgrounds and maybe you will find it may not be labeled a banana, but it is indeed a banana. In the communications field we do a lot of the same things, but we use different titles. Be aware. Research. Do Your job when looking at potential applicants, don't take the lazy way out and say, "I know nothing about the TV Business".

Please respond to this PLEASE!

After 22 years as a slot attendant at a casino I was terminated. I have no attendance points no variances and nothing else in my file. It went from nothing in my file with no progressive discipline issued to termination. I do not think that I deserved termination.
