How long of a commute are you willing to make for your dream job?

One job I worked two weeks on and two weeks off. Twelve hour shifts. First forty hours regular pay the other forty-four hours over time. The second week is over time. Those jobs I was either on the road for four hours and when I had to go to another site; then, it was six to seven hours depending on the weather.

How long of a commute is just long enough?
My commute is currently 45 mins to an hour from house to office. I don't think I could do a 2 hour commute but I might be able to be okay with 90 mins. I don't drive for my commute which is made up with walking and public transportation.

Do you think this is right? How do you adjust to this reality?
Just saw this infographic from Nat'l Low Income Housing Coalition. I think it helps explain the longer commutes, longer time living with Mom/Dad, and increase in adults getting roommates. But wondering what you think? Do these numbers seem right and if so, have you found living close to work challenging because of high rents?
