What should I expect at the job fair?
I’ve been job searching for a while and my friend told me about this job fair. I signed up but didn’t really know what to expect at the job fair. Seems exciting and a lot going on. How exactly should I plan my day?

What type of job fair? Entry level positions, cooperate, a little bit of both?

Dress for the part you want not the part you have. Have your resume reviewed by several different people for errors and/or things you can add or delete prior to printing. Print more than you will need and print on Resume paper! The best thing about job fairs is it is a way to see potential jobs you may not be qualified for now, but potentially in the future you could be. Networking is the absolute best thing you can do for your career. Leave your purse, backpack, etc in the car. Bring just your resume in a nice leather binder. Smile, have fun, be yourself, be approachable, and don't be afraid to approach businesses that you may not know about. Think up about 5-6 conversations starters when you approach a table so you seem prepared. Ask questions about them? Ask what a typical day looks like in a potential position that interests you. Walk around a bit alone and not just with your friend. It will show some maturity, and show you're serious. This is the time to network and potentially get your foot in the door at your dream job. You might have to start out at entry level but everyone starts somewhere. Those people running those booths are people you will definitely see again if you apply, so make those good impressions. Even if you just walk up and introduce yourself and smile. That's a good leeway.

Can the #chijobfair22 be attended virtually? I'm in Tennessee and willing to relocate, but it would be very difficult for me to be in Chicago on the date of the job fair but I am able to relocate in August 2022. #chijobfair22 #jobsearch

I wish you the best just be careful out here. It can be beautiful and ruthless At the same time

It wouldn't be wise to move to Chicago or Illinois for that matter. High taxes, high crime and getting worse, woke/dysfunctional-virtue signaling leadership, and ever increasing deficits & debt with the accompanying increase in property taxes. The level of corruption, incompetence, and cluelessness is both stunning and left unchecked. Illinoisans are voting with their feet and moving to your beloved state. Those who like Chicago lack discernment and are more than likely double vaxed, boosted, and outsource their critical thinking to the legacy media. Go to www.heyjackass.com and take in the data spawned by social justice and no-bail policies. Why would you leave America and come to place that is not America anymore and literally circling the drain? Think long and hard before you immigrate to the most corrupt and dysfunctional state in the union!
