SHOES: PART ONE…HAVE YOU EVER USED SHOES FOR CREWS?!?

I am going to write another post soon, about shoe support, comfort, and INSERTS, because I’ve had so many exchanges on Jobcase this week about work shoes! 🥾 For now, I can’t wait to share specifically in this post about the secret, hidden weapon that most folks in the #FoodServices industry are intimately familiar with - SHOES FOR CREWS!! 🖤👟🤍

These mid-priced, synthetic, waterproof, AND SPIDER-MAN LEVEL NON-SLIP SHOES; have been a staple in my Restaurant work uniform for a DECADE!! ♥️⏳🖤🕸

They have proprietary technology, which has since been recreated in several knock off brands, that has a special pattern on the bottom to create a unique grip even on the wettest and slickest floors!! 🌊💦 NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE 90-ish% WATERPROOF!! 🙀 You can’t imagine how many full on puddles I’ve walked through in my Shoes For Crews!! ☔️ 👢They also do their best to incorporate contemporary and popular styles, to appeal across a range of professions and genders! 👠👞

Obviously they were extra helpful on rainy days, and looked stylish at work and afterwards! ⛈🌂👟 But more importantly, they kept me safe while running around slippery, wet, and debris covered floors!! 🏃🏻‍♀️😰 🫗 💦 🏃🏽‍♂️

The main downside of Shoes For Crews is that because they are waterproof they are made of some pretty thick and non-breathable material! 🦶😮‍💨 That means that they suffocate feet that are endlessly on the move, and constantly sweating. I think you can try to imagine some of the horrors of wearing these long term in that situation, especially after splashing through puddles (often of beer 🍻) a few times a week as well! 🌊They are washable to some extent, and even come with their own picking tool to clean crumbs out of the cracks in the bottom!! ⛏ But you can really only wash them with a cloth and some soap, so they need to be replaced pretty regularly! 🧼 😅💦 👟👃💩 🚮

I CANT WAIT TO WRITE A PART TWO POST ABOUT MY FAVORITE SHOE INSERTS, AND AFTER WORK FOOT/LEG CARE! ✨ 🧼 🛁 🦶🧴

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SHOES FOR CREWS, OR USED ANYTHING SIMILAR?!? HOW DO YOU PREVENT YOURSELF FROM SLIPPING AT WORK??

I have never heard of these. I have always worn a basic non slip shoe when I was a server and bartender.

Wow! It is a great topic! It is good timing for me because my current restaurant freshened up its dress code policy. They don't want us to wear big brand logo athlete shoes and only brown or black color. Naturally, everyone got nervous with this new shoe conversation.

I have been wearing my training shoes and sometimes boots, but it is uncomfortable to wear every day.

I was in retail for about 10 years, insoles probably would have been a life saver, but my shoes were pretty comfy.

Never heard of them Phoebe. I wear combat boots made out of body armor! Light as tennis shoes but very tough. Made by Free Soldier, you need something with more style although functionality beats style in my case. Your soldier,Ford
