What do you do when the only jobs in your area are retail and they won't touch you with a 10 foot pole because you are not an extrovert? Its getting frustrating. Only jobs are the retail jobs and thats it. I don't have an option to move to a different area with other job options. They ether don't hire me because I don't fit their personality test or they look at my education level and say you are to educated or we view you as a threat to our jobs as managers just based on education. That includes the food service end of retail.
Who cares my degrees are worthless degrees, the bottom fell out on the animation world, unless you have major industry experience when you graduate college and no one has that. Employers see MBAs as wasted degree now. As it does not prove you know a thing in their eyes.
People tell me to start a business, but that is not an option. No money and even if I did. My counties business regulations make it extremely hard and expensive to start one. (They wonder why they have 10+ percent unemployment rate here)
I am at my wits end.
An introvert can have a very good person and even be charming. Plus be very intelligent about what they are selling. If you can talk to your friends you can talk to customers. It a skill you can develop. I'm introvert like you. Your job will be to seek out your customers and help them. I enjoy helping people help themselves and it can fun. That what customer service is about. Try it and don't give up, you never know you might be an ace at it.
Experience without experiment is nothing,,,, I need to be employed in order I experience of what my course consider so as I will be able to grow spiritual and talented on what am doing.... To me am requesting a Job of driver that is all my Brothers & Sisters.... Together with my Boss who will able to give me opportunity to work for them ....
I've been where you are at only never in retail as Veteran with plenty of problems I finally managed to get through it all by being persistent. I know right now the cup seems half empty, but you can make it.
Hi, I apologize for just now seeing this in my emails. It is VERY frustrating when you're trying to make the best of your crazy situation. There IS a good job waiting for you n I hope you find it soon.
So am I!!!! These work at home jobs are all scammers. If you gotta pay .... Scammer Alert! I have lost over 4k trying these worthless jobs.
Go to your local unemployment office and get help with your resume. Take some time and do their many workshops to get u back into the workplace. When you go to interviews take notes on what u feel u need to work on. The first few interviews just do them for u. Meaning the first thing an employer says is so tell me a little about yourself, well if u don't take time out for yourself this will be hard to answer. Go find people who truly no u ask them and make a list cross out the ones that will not benefit u in a work environment and work on the ones they bring negative vibes to u. A person trying to help u will give u things u need to work on. Someone only giving u good all the way around u need to move on to the next friend. Because an employer sometimes ask what do u think u need to improve about yourself. That's a tricky one because if u answer to crazy they will not hire u. Research what employers are looking for in interviews. Good luck my friend. You got this just
Don’t give up. I understand things seem hard, but u r not in the boat alone. If there is retail there is stocking. Beat that door down and be consistent. One of the hardest thing is rejection of some kind, but their lose is your gain. God gave each individual a gift or talent a degree is that piece of paper, but what God gives us is so much more. Go after what u want. Don’t hold back!
