American Red Cross volunteers are actively assisting Southern California residents who have been devastated by wildfires that have destroyed thousands of homes. As the fires continue to threaten communities, the need for additional support grows, with the situation remaining unpredictable and ongoing.

The Red Cross is urgently seeking more volunteers to join their mission. Whether it’s providing shelter, distributing meals, or supporting recovery efforts, your time and compassion can bring hope to those facing unimaginable loss. If you’re able, please consider volunteering to make a difference. Click on the link below:

If you or someone you know has been affected by the wildfires, please see our earlier post regarding available resources. Stay safe, and thank you to everyone who continues to support these vital efforts.

Something I learned at #Volunteer OC Parks County of Orange ...

I love volunteering at OC Parks working at the nature center at Irvine Regional Park keeping the doors open enjoying the public entering the nature center and and answering their questions about nature and animals. I have my regulars who come to the nature canter every week to see me and enjoy the many things the OC Parks nature center has to offer at Irvine Regional Park. 2023 is going into my 4th year as a OC Parks Volunteer. I will never stop my volunteering, and will continue volunteering all my life. Respectfully Gene

Have you ever volunteered somewhere? A homeless shelter, Humane Society, soup kitchen or maybe a food pantry? These are places that can always use help, even more so around the holidays. But really, one could offer to volunteer just about anywhere. What about a company you’d like to work at? Just because you haven’t been able to get a position that pays with them, it doesn’t mean you can’t step through their doors and ask if you can volunteer part time, no charge. It may seem a little odd, but you never know; it could be your foot in the door to a position that pays down the road…. #volunteer, #give, #blessing, #Help

That depends on the employer and if there is a possible opening that you can apply for. If not, you can update your resume showcasing your accomplishments for any future job openings
