Kimberly, I think the message is still inside your head, but it is not making it to the printer. You cannot receive unemployment while being employed, even if they cut your hours and wage. However, you may be, and probably are, qualified to receive many other benefits. Your community action services will assist with extra food stuffs. There are medical facilities that assist with those needs. And there are financial support systems in place to help with the costs of energy (heating, electricity). Even rent can be subsidized. Now that you have the extra time, get active in locating these services within your area, and make the necessary interactions to gain these services. You will feel better when you're not stressing out over everything. I don't know who 'he' is, but it sounds like you're wasting your time there too. Respectfully, Philip M Brockman

Unemployment

Can I file for unemployment if I'm off work for a week or more at a Time? I've been off a little over 5 weeks this year and my boss doesn't want to pay unemployment. I'm very stressed I'm behind on everything including my child support. What can I do?

Unemployment benefits

I have filed for unemployment benefits since 2015 and sent all necessary documents to prove my eligibility. But my working permit expired a few weeks after and I have not received any benefits from them though my claims have not been denied. I have filed claims for all the 26 weeks entitlement. What rights do l have to my claim my benefits. Thanks.

Check the mailing address plus if your benefits were sent! The mailman might've put your check in the incorrect box. Do u have a claim #?. If u have done all that u should do u must file an appeal. Do it quickly cuz in the state of California u have 30 days! At least this is the way it was when I last filed which was 2 years ago.I will be praying for u!

Confused

I'm 58 years old and have been unemployed for almost a year my unemployment insurance ran out in January. I'm almost broke and can't find work . I spoke to someone at the California unemployment office in February and they said my employment claim runs out July 1st. And too call them back the last week of June if I hadn't found work. Does anybody who lives in California know what happens then ?

I worked as a mental health counselor for about six months before one of my clients, an angry 10 year old, said that I had swore at him during our session and that I told him I didn't care about him. This was a complete falsehood. The client swore at me, repeatedly telling me to "shut the f*@# up b@$#&", he insulted me, and lied about how his previous counselor treated him. My bosses claimed to believe me but I was fired nonetheless. I have been unemployed for six months now and am either overqualified or underqualified for the positions I have been applying for, and have not been receiving any call backs with any input one way or another. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Do not take the offensive, take the defensive. Stop letting a bad mouth little disrespectful brat that sadly, no one is holding or keeping accountable for his behavior. He will repeat it, too. I am sure that you were not the first, and you will not be the last. He's learning to be a big time liar, and perjurer which is a crime when you cause someone to be fired from their job based upon a fabricated lie to cover up his behavior. You don't need that company. I have had companies and organizations like that which will do nothing but raise, support, and help out right liars. They will be held accountable by God for their wickedness. It is evil to keep supporting liars. It makes them look like they are liars and irresponsible uncaring dishonest people too. Pray to God, and find someone who will hire you for you are, and not what people say that you are. Make your business cards, and do private work. Hire you! Believe in you, and in your dreams. Pray good for this little child and for others who would wrongfully lie or speak false things about you.

Do not work for ADECCO!

I worked for a temp agency for exactly 2 years . They are a very messy. And recently I got laid off from the job from one of their clients, I filed for unemployment the next day .. it took them 14 days to reply to the unemployment agency with a form that they had sent them ... now they are denying me unemployment benefits... ?? When I called unemployment and asked why they said because my temp agency said I quit . Which is not true ! I got laid off therefore I completed my assignment for their client. I called my temp agency And they said that the reason they said I wasnt going to get unemployment was because I had not contacted them saying I was available for work .Now they are denying me just because I didn't call in and say that I was available. I have been searching for work every since My last day of work ! I looked for some work on their company website and a whole bunch of other places. I know another person who got laid off about the same time I did worked at the same place through the temp agency i work for ..and never called in to tell them that he was available for work and he still got his benefits ! I told him of my situation and he said he never once contacted them and that it wasnt fair that they are giving him unemployment but denying me unemployment. Also So stressful because I am also pregnant . Just dont know what to do anymore been looking for work over a month now . I dont think its fair for them to force their rules sometimes rather than doing it all the time to different people. I wonder if i will win my appeal.

Jalisa, So sorry your experiencing these challenges. The temp agency is required to provide you with adequate employment as long as you call the office everyday to inquire on jobs. If they fail to get you into another assignment they can't deny the claim. I think the appeal will go in your favor.

Well I have an interview tomorrow So I’m hoping it comes through I’ve been unemployed since July and my unemployment just ran out a few weeks ago. I really need this because I’m getting so frustrated. It’s just mentally draining.

Retraction of Deo funds

Does anyone have any idea how long your employer or DEO can deny your unemployment benefits? I started getting checks May 26th but afraid to pay bills Incase my employer decides to deny me. I took time off due to my age and health issues during the virus. Any advise I cannot get thru to DEO Thank you. Debbie #unemployment #unemploymentbenefits

Debra don’t believe all this free advise because five years ago I collected $3500 close to three months I got unemployment my ex-employer called and told them a bunch of shit and they cut the rest of my money and for five years started sending me a bill from state of NJ for the amount I collected well when COVID-18 hit They did not give a shit I had to pay every last penny of that 3500 before I could start collecting my money

Debra that’s indeed what happened instead of putting up a fight I just went and found a job not saying that’s what I’m advising you to do. Just not the same circumstances as normal hard to get a hold of anyone on a normal situation much less a dispute, but my last day of work was 3/13 due to COVID-19 I could not start collecting my weekly state unemployment till June but I was fortunate where they started putting the federal cares act $600 right into my acct as of 04/13 good luck on whatever u decide to do
