International Day of Disabilities
December 3rd is the International Day of Disabilities. What does that mean? Some people decided to highlight our Community worldwide today. If you belong to LinkedIn or Twitter or some other social media network different organizations told you about the day. Some call out discrimination, and some say we, people with disabilities can do anything we set our minds to. Of course, what they said is true. The problem though is that none of these individuals or organizations posting about today has any real power to make an effective change so our Community isn't discriminated against in any shape or form.
That is where Abled Workers Unite in my opinion can make an effective change. There are 10s of millions of people on JobCase. That means that there are millions of people with disabilities on the JobCase platform. If we, JobCasers with disabilities come together in this group as one voice we can go to powers to be to make changes. There is tremendous power in large numbers. We have an opportunity here in our group to capitalize on this opportunity.
