I got offered 2 jobs again the same time. One pays $32/h where the other pays $17/h. However, the $32/h is at a prestigious company but the contract is only 6 months long. Where the other is a 6 month contract with possibly being hired permanently. What would you choose? # #jobsearch #wordsofadvice #advice #contract #tempagency

I took a job recently and thought my prayers had been answered. It was with an agency and I said to myself keep my options open. 16 hours later I get a call from the recruiter stating it’s not working out. I asked why and was told, due to performance issues. How could this be when I haven’t had any hands on training and never had a problem. When I asked the recruiter, all she kept saying was, that’s what they told me. I’m getting very tired of being recycled like this. I’m older now and need stability and I haven’t had that in over 6 months.
I was advised 3 days ago that I was terminated also. But it was for no cause I too am with a temp agency but I work hard every day I also would like to know how can I file a discrimination complaint against the company and Sue for termination with no cause.
Looking for temp agency in West L.A. Thanks
I'm having a problem looking for a direct hire position. I getting advertisements to work but nothing is sticking. I can't live on a temp salary or contract salary. I know my temp agency is making money off me while I get paid chump change for the amount years and effort I put into this position. Please what do I do? I need an increase.
Hello and Goodmorning. Does anyone know of jobs or temp agency’s who do same day pay jobs I know there are some out there, they are just very hard to find any help if you would! I’m located in Kansas!
Hello - yesterday I interviewed with a health insurance company (interview was set up by a staffing agency) and yesterday afternoon the staffing agency recruiter called me to say the insurance company wants to 'move forward' with background checks, etc. I received several emails afterward, all from the staffing agency, congratulating me on my new position, but I have no offer letter, pay rate, or even a start date with the insurance company. I emailed my recruiter asking him if there are benefits, if I'm employed by the staffing agency vs the insurance company. The description given was this was a contract job but no set time for the work duration. I haven't heard back from the recruiter, so I'm a little suspicious about this. Would you trust this staffing agency since? I have the feeling of the recruiter has his commission so he's moved on to the next person and forgotten about me.

Going to work the next day
I have gotten so many calls from Aerotek but they tell me that I need to update my resume for janitorial but I told them that I had work for Parkway Towers for seven years for less hours. I told them that I was a contract cleaner. My guess that they did not like me being self-employed because it is so hard to track it through credit reports. So I end looking to and applying every single job. I am still working self-employed at Parkway Towers and I am going to Chabot College to be a graphic designer.
