My wife, and I and our daughters voted this week. Not every human in this world can say that. Actually - far far from it. I also go to sleep at night watching horrors in other lands like Ukraine, feeling compassion and empathy but not fear as I know that will not happen here.
What I am trying to say is THANK YOU VETERANS and their awesome families that support them. It is easy to take our freedoms and safety for granted. But I know better. And this day gives us pause to express our gratitude. Thank you does not seem near enough, but also so important to say. So Thank you. God bless and godspeed.
ps: for all Employers out there - there are over 18 million veterans in our country who are incredible leaders in private and public life. But not all new veterans have easy transitions from Military to private fit. So suggest you look two or three times closer and support a hero and hire a rockstar all in one motion!

Sometimes it's easy to forget that Memorial Day weekend isn't just about picnics and the unofficial start to summer. It's about loss and honoring those losses.
My heart goes out this coming long weekend (and always) to families and friends who have lost loved ones while they served. I am thinking of you while also remembering my Uncle who I lost several years ago.
...and to all those who serve, thank you.
Who will YOU remember this Memorial Day?

I once had a minister tell me that a prayer can be as simple as pausing and saying "Hi God". After 18 years, maybe it isn't a whole morning, but let's not forget that fateful morning 18 years ago either. Please remember to say a quick prayer (or moment of remembrance if more suitable to your beliefs), no matter how brief, for heroes, victims, impacted by the horrible morning of 9-11 those18 years ago. (I will also be thinking of Americans and people everywhere that have been impacted by the shockwaves from that morning that have so strongly echoed over the last 18 years as well.) #NeverForget

I am humbled and grateful for those who made ultimate sacrifice for us all.
We owe them and their families.
Not just directly, but also to continue realizing the vision of freedom and a more perfect union. #NeverForget #StrongerTogether

A humble appreciation to all our servicemen & women - past & present - in the Armed Forces (and their loved ones who share the burden in supporting them). This day is a great reminder to express what we feel everyday - supreme gratitude for the sacrifices, service and commitment of those that carry the burden & honor of defending our country and principles. So, though it never quite seems enough - Thank You! #NeverForget #Veterans #Thankful
