🌟 Embracing Positivity in Your Job Search! 💼

Hello, job seekers! Searching for employment can sometimes feel like a rollercoaster ride, with its ups and downs. However, maintaining a positive mindset throughout the process is key to staying motivated and finding the perfect opportunity. So, let's explore some strategies to keep your spirits high and your energy focused as you navigate the world of job hunting. ✨

1️⃣ Believe in Yourself: Remember that you have unique skills, talents, and experiences to offer. Embrace your strengths and have faith in your abilities. Remind yourself of your accomplishments and the value you bring to the table. Confidence is contagious and can make a significant difference in your job search journey. #BelieveInYourself #OwnYourValue

2️⃣ Practice Self-Care: Job hunting can be demanding, both physically and emotionally. Take care of yourself during this process. Engage in activities that rejuvenate you, such as exercising, practicing mindfulness, spending time with loved ones, or pursuing hobbies. Nurturing your well-being will keep your spirits high and help you approach your job search with renewed energy. #SelfCareMatters #PrioritizeWellBeing

3️⃣ Maintain a Routine: Establishing a structured routine can provide a sense of stability and purpose during your job search. Set specific goals, create a schedule for your job search activities, and stick to it. This structure will help you stay focused and motivated. Additionally, include time for self-improvement, such as learning new skills or networking. #StayOrganized #GoalSetting

4️⃣ Seek Support: Don't hesitate to reach out to your support system—family, friends, mentors, or career advisors. Share your concerns, seek guidance, and ask for feedback. Surrounding yourself with positive and encouraging individuals can provide valuable insights, boost your confidence, and provide a sense of community during your job search journey. #SupportSystem #AskForHelp

5️⃣ Embrace Rejections as Opportunities: Rejections are a natural part of the job search process. Instead of allowing them to discourage you, view them as opportunities for growth and self-improvement. Learn from each experience, refine your approach, and keep moving forward. Remember, the right opportunity is waiting for you, and each rejection brings you closer to it. #LearnAndGrow #PersistencePaysOff

6️⃣ Stay Positive and Persistent: Maintaining a positive mindset is crucial, even when facing setbacks. Celebrate small victories along the way, such as securing an interview or receiving positive feedback. Surround yourself with positivity by reading inspiring articles, listening to motivational podcasts, or connecting with like-minded individuals. And most importantly, keep pushing forward with determination and resilience. Your dream job is within reach! #PositiveMindset #KeepGoing

Remember, your journey to finding employment is unique, and it may take time. Embrace the process, stay positive, and trust that the right opportunity will come your way. Believe in yourself, take care of your well-being, seek support, and persist in your efforts. The perfect job is waiting for someone as remarkable as you. Best of luck! 🌟💼 #JobSearchJourney #PositiveVibes

With unwavering positivity, Just Me✨

2 examples why you can't let #ageism stop you from your next job

Reports of ageism have gone up massively since covid changed "normal life" for everyone. And we see how age discrimination effects people everyday in this community.

That's why I want to take this moment to celebrate the Jobcase community - and these 2 success stories:

  1. @Dinah Junek "I'm sure there are places that don't hire older ones. You know what I say it's their loss!! Keep trying #advice"
Connect with Dinah at this post

  2. @Stephen Blette just landed a job with Aflac and said, "our work ethic it’s better than these millennials and gen zee"
Say hi to Steven on his post here

What is something you dislike about interviews? For me it's "Why do you WANT this job?" My Answer: To Myself in duh " because I don't have one!!"lol 😭 Seriously I highlight my AMAZING QUALITIES & just try to be MYSELF!! Remember just because one place didn't give you a chance, everyone will NOT say No!! #keepgoing

If you’ve recently been let go from a job it can make you feel angry, confused, and unsure of what to do next. You may have seen the term "at-will" thrown around and you aren't even quite sure what that is. Let’s take a look!

• What does “at-will” mean? If you work for a company and you are considered an “at-will” employee, this means you can be dismissed by an employer for any reason without having to establish "just cause" for termination and without warning. This is as long as the reason is not illegal (such as discrimination).

• How do I know if I am at-will? Many job applicants and new employees are asked to sign a written statement agreeing that they are (or will be) employed at will. This statement may appear in an employment application, contract or offer letter that the employer asks you to sign and return, an acknowledgment form for an employee handbook, or elsewhere.

• Is my state at-will? While all states recognize at-will employment some states place limitations on it. These limitations are in addition to the ones that federal laws apply to all states. Here's the breakdown of states that have at-will exceptions [HERE] (http://www.ncsl.org/research/labor-and-employment/at-will-employment-exceptions-by-state.aspx).

• Now what? Check out Matt Bornhorst 's post **[HERE] (https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/a8a4881a-95be-59b1-ba56-06a1baeac048)**about the next steps to take! If you feel you have been discriminated against and the conditions of the termination are illegal, be sure to contact a legal representative.

Stay strong, you will move past this and onto something wonderful!

She was working at Toys R Us for like 5 years as a stocker so she was pretty sad when it closed. We all take job security for granted until it's gone. She applied to Target, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, even Mc Donalds but ended up getting a job at Amazon with pretty good pay too. She starts soon and I am excited for her. Don't ever give up!!! Good things are coming for you.
