Let's help a new Jobcaser out!

Good morning Jobcase! I recently connected with someone who after 16 years in the Air Force is looking to transition careers. They are interested in recruiting and looking for a remote position. Comment below so we can help @Ashley McGowan out and make sure to connect with her too!

@Jon Simpson take a look a the Jobcase 2nd chances section. You'll find articles to help with your resume, where to get hired, interview tips, and much more. Good luck on the job hunt!

Good question @Jon Simpson ! I believe non-violent offenders are eligible for hire but each case is considered individually. You can also try getting hired via a temp agency like Integrity Staffing.

If you are young and have the knack for programming, forget college degree and invest in deepdive training for 6 months to learn front end development. It'll cost you around 18k but the return will be hundred folds.

I'm old so I would answer jokingly "If I answer that question, I'd be giving away my age and prospective employers are prohibited by law to use it as basis for hiting so I'm pleading the 5th" :)

todays era

I guess this is the era of work from homers, hustlers, system milkers, and sue happy ppl. What if applicants filed lawsuits because they weren't hired at some company. I mean hey ppl sue for everything else. #jobsearch #interview #wordsofadvice #termination #advice #inspiration #application #coronavirus #workfromhome #hiringevents #mythoughts

Conduent is a Horrible place to work. I worked for the office in New York and I would not recommend this company to anyone. They allow their managers to harass the employees. When you file a complaint with HR, mysteriously your complaints get lost. When you speak up and let them know you're not having it, they try to get you fired. They want you to be a Yes person. If you say no to anything, you are then placed on their radar to be harassed. They expect you not to have a life outside of work and to put your family second to them. The hours are ridiculous. The pay is horrible for the amount of work they expect for you to do. You can do better than this company. If you need a job to help you and your family now, take it. But I would not stay more than a year or you will be extremely miserable. Google the reviews and you will see.

Conduent itself is a very large number of different businesses in different industries even. I worked in Florida for Conduent Care Solutions (Bill Review for workers comp claims) and I LOVED it! Then came COVID...We transitioned to 100% WFH. I am not the WFH type. So I left for that reason.

Jobs for felons???

Is there a website specifically where I can just look at jobs for felons? Or does anybody have any advice on that? I am a recovering addict and have been sober for a year and a half and Don’t really have any skills or experience with much of anything because of my past but I’m a very quick learner highly intelligent detail oriented and a people person. #felony #jobsearch #advice
