Recently, I began a position at a nursing home, excited to contribute and grow. Unfortunately, I was terminated due to my association with a vocational rehabilitation program. They deemed me a liability. I'm unsure of my next steps. Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated. #JobLoss #SeekingGuidance #CareerAdvice

My first impression with G4’s will be my last. Bryan Rolle was my first Account manager. He was attentive & places guards where they were best suited. My experience however in Clarksville has not gone as well. Management is manipulative, unethical and corrupt. My service ended here negatively. No response from several outcry’s for intervention. NOTHING, I am so sorry to be dismissed under such circumstances without my side of the story being heard. Thank you again for the opportunity

I recently left my job at a small college that I was at for 8 1/2 years for a major university. I've only been here a little over a month, since October 14. Recently I've been feeling " homesick" I guess you can say for my old job. I think I feel this way for several reasons: 12 hour days now and having to travel, compared to 8 hours and being close to home. I have kids (12 & 4) . Has anyone ever felt like this? I've had a few friends that left our old job and said the grass isn't always greener on the other side and I feel like I'm starting to feel that way. The job is also completely different. :-/

I applied to hundreds of jobs in the last couple of weeks, had been looking for a job for months. Finally got a couple of interviews lined up in December, had an offer from a job which was mediocre and felt wasn’t the one, and another job offer from an amazing Tech Company through a temp agency. The manager at the tech company loved me and told me I got the job right away and said I would start in January. The job would be temp to perm with a great possibility of working permanent. So I turned down the other job offer, gave my two weeks, signed all my paper work including offer letter, and passed a drug screen. The last and final step was submitting my I9 with a form of an ID. The temp agency kept pushing my start date because of the government shut down my I9 wouldn’t be able to be verified, knowing other companies were hiring employees with Everify. I patiently waited, and today I get a phone call from the temp agency recruiter saying the manager who interviewed me got fired and that no one is working in that department, also because of the government shut down the manger didn’t tell the agency they actually do bids with the government. I am so frustrated because I gave my two weeks and turned down another offer, now I have to go back to keep applying and going to other interviews. Sorry just venting I know things could be worst hope everyone is having a great day.

Just when things seem to be going great, or at least looking up, life kicks me one time after an other. I'm a cleaning specialist. I say specialist because I can clean just about anything. I'm constantly getting praised and land some pretty good gigs... This week tho, I lost one weekly, one cancelled last minute, and the other is moving to monthly... Just when things look up... They crumble

I know, I know, not my smartest move but I needed to get the hell out of there. To say my old job was BAD is an insult to bad jobs everywhere. It was AW_FUL! I had to quit, there was NO other way and despite how many times I racked my brain to find another option, there weren’t any. I didn’t want to quit...ok I did, but I didn’t want to deal with the BS of finding another job. Job hunting is the worst. I probably wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I hadn’t looked for other jobs when I quit. Literally NO prep what so ever. One day my boss said something horrible to me and I just up and left never to return. All I could think afterwards was oh crap, now what??!! So this is what I learned and I will pass it on to folks in the same situation.

  1. Being happy is the most important thing aka it’s not worth it working for jerks that don’t appreciate you! My stress from my past job was actually causing my hair to fall out more and more everyday from the stress level. Sometimes I even cried in my car before heading in. Yeah, not worth it.

  2. There are ALWAYS other opportunities to seek out. Sometimes you are not right for the job OR the job is not right for you, this is NOT a bad thing. What IS bad is if you stay there and you continue to be unhappy. I learned that life is what you make of it not what you are stuck with.

  3. How to budget my money! What I once spent on fancy lunches and things to treat myself I now save and know what is important. I even quit smoking because frankly I cannot afford cigarettes anymore and it was the best thing to not buy them. I completely forgot what it is like to go without an income and it’s pretty challenging.

Don’t lose hope friends. I am staying positive and knowing that this was the right choice for me at this time. I am happier, healthier, and while poorer I am certainly wiser.

I had accepted a job with a company and was given a start date and time, When I went in on the first day, the CEO who hired me told me he was sorry he forgot to cancel me. He then said he would give me a call later and never called. When I called him back he said that the Dr I was hired for would not be starting for a couple more weeks. He would call me when they needed me. I had two job offers at the same time and chose this one because it seemed better out of the two. I called the other one back and they had already offered it to someone else. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
