I got a promotion!
I wanted to share that I recently got a promotion at work! I was a front desk worker and got promoted to Front Desk Assistant Supervisor this past week. I did it by working really hard and asking my boss for regular feedback on what I can do to improve and what I'm doing well. When the position opened up, I was the FIRST person he went to to offer the role. I'm very happy and excited for this new chapter.
If I can do it, you can do it!!! #motivation #manager #hospitality

Nicole, housekeeping jobs at 'high-end' hotels are not hard to get - and keep if u do a good job. There is a good chance u can ask for a schedule that would allow u time to go to one of these beauty schools for... Always present at work fashionable - hair, makeup..., & be sociable w/ both the staff AND THE PATRONS - the hotel industry is where all the traffic comes thru that u want to meet! Proudly engage in conversation the fact that u are finally starting a career in ..(the fashion industry). It is also possible that u could meet someone that would help sponsor the cost of u're schooling; or u could apply for a "free money grant". (P.S. I didn't 4get u have kids!) GOOD LUCK

My advice to people interested in working at #Airbnb as a #Hospitality ...
Yes!

The biggest mistake I made as a #Hospitality at #Airbnb ...
Hotel not as clean as would have liked.

When I worked at #Hospitality--RedRoofInn I gave great advice when
We had a situation where all of are towels and linens were disappearing at an alarming rate so my advice to my boss was to initiate a laundry room towel an linen inventory list to be done on everyshift and any items taken out for guest had to be writen in a log book i also advised the boss to start a draw log book so at the end of everyones shift the drawer was counted an logged by the prior shift and the incomeing shift must count the drawer and inital that the prior shifts drawer was correct and this was to be done on every shift

Dont know what to do
I am 50 years old. I am a retired Chief Petty Officer with 23 years experience in the Navy. I was a supervisor/trainer/instructor/mentor etc etc while in the Navy. I retired, and went to school have my Bachelors in Hospitality and a Masters in Public Administration. I have a job right now but only pays 14.00 an hour. I have applied to hundreds of jobs with all types of resumes. Others have told me that my resume is great. I have not even had a call for an interview. What am I doing wrong? I am not looking for only supervisory jobs. I am looking for like an HR generalist, or some sort of other lower level job with the opportunity to move up. What am I doing wrong? Any advice? The only jobs I had calls on are insurance companies wanting me to sell insurance etc. and of course they are commission only. Thanks in advance.
