What made me stay at #Great West Seafoods/PPLP was
Being a fisherman had always been a dream of mine. After graduating high school I got the the opportunity to fulfill that dream. In the spring of 2010 I began my career as a "green horn" fisherman onboard a 106' fishing vessel Mark 1 and quickly moved up the ranks. Now eleven years later I am the engineer and Mate aboard another fishing vessel in the same company "the Royal American." Sticking with this company has been an easy choice for me because of their personal relationships with employees whom have proven to management to be "company men" overcoming difficult times and problems time and time again. Although it's a challenging career that requires months away from home every season, that personal connection built over years of trust and the wages have been the reasons I've put in over a third of my life towards this career.
