After 8 long months and all my savings down to nothing, I was offered a great position with a wonderful company where my experience will be of help to them. I am 56 years old so I just had to find the company that didn’t see that as a negative. I am very thankful to all of you. Your stories have helped me to feel not so alone in this plight. I appreciate all of you!

Hello everyone, This is my first time on this site, mainly due to the other sites that are similar to this one being used in the wrong way, and I would like to show my appreciation to every post I have seen so far. There is great info, insight, and helpful strategies and comments being passed on to one another. With all I've seen, I am confident that this issue I am having will guide me around this 8-ball I've been trapped behind for some time now. I will explain as soon as I am done with a current situation that I am having right now. It was just all my heart to let everyone know that I commend all of you and appreciate the amount of positivity being passed on. I know I'm kind of making giving a small encouraging word to others a big deal, but throughout my life I have rarely seen people help just to help. Usually, personal gain and "now you owe me" is hiding somewhere behind the false smiles and fake words of "I want to help". I will be posting my situation later. I do want to thank you all for taking the time to read all this. Sorry for the length. You all have a wonderful afternoon.

Happy Gobble Day to all The holiday season always make me take a moment to reflect think back on the year and set goals for the coming year. Many of us are excited about the holidays while others of us dread the holidays. Some of us are hosting others of us are travelling. Its one of the times that family should get together and just enjoy this time together but that is on always the case. We have a little dysfunctionality in our family, the meaning of Thanksgiving varies from person to person. Some of us will be nice and warm and cozy while others will be wondering if we will even have a meal today. On the East Coast the temperatures have dipped, in NYC it was 19 degrees and this does not include the wind factor. The streets of NY are inundated with homeless people. While providing a meal for them today is critical but they struggle everyday with finding food and shelter. The homeless situation continues to get worse. I just hope that all will find a way to have a meal and find shelter indoors. On another note, I am wishing all a great holiday. Despite the problems that may plague us, not enough money, no job, no where to go, dysfunctional family, chaos within family, take a moment to enjoy this day as well as everyday. Everyday that you wake up you have an opportunity to do something amazing, to change something in your life, to inspire others. Focus on the good things, work on improving the not so good things and accept the things you cannot change. You cant change others but you can change how you react to others.

Happy Gobble Day, hope you all have a great day.

I am happy to report that I have found a new career, one in which I believe that dedication and working hard will take me to the top. After my job searching I can look back and say that when the dark clouds and doubt were rolling in I would just smile and pray. I kept a grateful heart and asked for guidance and resources.

Today the sun just seems so much brighter and the day so much warmer. IF you are out there struggling and wondering and doubting, have no fear. Don't give in and don't give up. You will find your way and you have to believe that.

‪Humbled. Appreciative. Proud. ‬ ‪And remembering their families and loved ones too. The sacrifices extend so far beyond those fallen hero’s themselves. Thank you never seems enough, but it’s a start. Thank you! ‬ #memorialday #grateful #veterans #humble
