Interviewing tips that help me land the job

I recently interviewed with a company and was offered the position.

Here are my tips to getting hired:

Research the company and be able to communicate what the company does in one to two sentences.

Align your resume with what is stated on the job description. This way you will be able to properly articulate the job functions you have performed.

Take notes, to have a better understanding of what the employer is looking for. Also, you can use these notes to ask the interviewer questions at the end.

Have two to three pre designated questions written out.

The questions I asked were:

I understand the job description mentions having hard skills to be successful in this role. However, What soft skills do you require to be successful in this role?

Is there any opportunity for upward mobility?

What pharmacy management system does your company use?

Also, I was hired through a temp agency and the first question the interviewer asked was the name of the agency and my recruiters name. The question sounds trivial but the interviewer was impressed that I knew both answers because most people didn’t.

Lastly, before you interview, know the market rate salary for the job you are applying for, just in case you are able to negotiate your salary. Know the names of the people you have spoken with including the name of the person you are scheduled to interview with.

Make sure you thank them for the opportunity to interview with them.

Hope these tips help!😊

Starting over after being fired

Keep moving forward and choose your next boss. I lost my job after 13 years, no write ups, had grew my business 158%. Its a horrible and scary feeling. After the shock, I took control of my life, and did Instacart, DoorDash, Lift to get buy. I prayed for the right job, after 2 years of struggling, I realized how I found the peace I needed. Then I chose my boss because I knew I would never work again for a person who made me miserable. Two weeks ago, I found the company and the boss I wanted to work for. Never stay down, keep moving and bigger doors will open. Never look down except to admire your shoes, or to help pull someone up!
