Are Your Goals Written Down?

If not you are doing yourself a disservice! Here are 3 reason to write your goals down TODAY.

More likely to succeed: According to a long term Harvard study on written goals; students with written and defined goals earn 10x as much money as the other 97 percent of the class COMBINED. WOW! (Forbes magazine)

Emotion Proof your days: When we are hit with a life blow or are just having a bad day, we can unknowingly panic and get off the true goal path. You may need to find a job before the next rent is due but today the stress is so heavy that instead of hitting your goal for applications submitted you start to look for quick money. Maybe you waste the day doing online surveys that never seem to pay you. At the end of the day your diversion from the goal path has taken you backwards. You lost focus on solutions and worked on short-term fixes. That means instead getting a new pipe under the sink you tape the leak. When we fall off the goal path just like a taped pipe the problem will come back in a worst state in the future.

When our goals are written we can refer to them and avoid the steps backward caused by emotional upheaval.

We know what to do at every moment! The incredible thing about goals is they provide us with a clear direction on action at every moment. We can at any time ask ourselves. “Will this get me closer or further from my goal?” From this point and magic question we can make the choice that empowers our life.

Action steps: Write down some goals that are based on what you desire and not so much based or just escaping the current situation. If you need work immediately set a goal that is passed you just getting a job and is more toward you having the resources you need already in hand. You are a powerful creator of life don’t sell yourself short when writing goals.

You Got This!

Laundry won't take up urn whole weekend. Its not like we have to hand scrub then line hang them. Having ur daughters help, make it fun. I guarantee you'll have a less stressful week, teaching ur daughters cleanliness as well. You can turn any situation into a bonding one teaching ur children to not be filty as well

2017 challenges and goals

Well by the end of the year I plan to have my tuition paid off in full. It could have been paid off years ago. Instead I took in my sister kids raised them and kept them out of foster care. Which some have criticized me for doing . I could have been selfish and paid my tuition a long time ago and then there's no telling where my niece and nephews would be. And for that reason the family is more important then having the best credit. Which will be well soon and we all will benefit from this process. Good luck to everyone, I hope you all the best and greed isn't everything.

YOU Matter: Tip No. 1

Tip No.1: Set Goals

As mentioned in the previous post, job searching can be stressful! And it's easy to feel like you should just throw the towel in. Obviously, the objective of this entire mission is to find a job, but I believe it’s essential to set a series of “mini-goals” along the way to ensure you don’t feel defeated. These goals could be something along the lines of I want to apply to five new jobs per day or I want to network with two new people in my industry.

They could also be something completely unrelated to the job search! For example, I want to go to the gym four times this week. Sure, that’s not going to necessarily help you land the marketing job you’re aiming for, but it will undoubtedly give you a sense of pride and accomplishment!

What are three goals you’re going to set for yourself?

Ready for Tip No. 2? Keep reading!

How to: Keeping busy!

I have four more days until I begin my new role, and I am starting to feel like that time will fly by and I won't have used it to my advantage. One thing I know about myself is that I need to feel productive and always keep myself moving and doing things that will be good for me and my friends and family.

One way I continue to accomplish my goals; whether or not they be small or large; is to make lists.

I set up realistic lists of tasks, and break it out by the days of the week - I find handwriting always helps. Then I go about my day crossing off tasks. It feels good to close out even just one task.

To summarize!

  1. ALWAYS handwrite what you need to get done
  2. Break your tasks into smaller, more achievable daily lists
  3. Cross out tasks as you go
  4. Include fun tasks for yourself, as well as helpful tasks for others
  5. Have fun!

Hope this helps someone. Let me know how you keep busy during down time.

Leadership Accountibility

Food for thought: A large part of being a good leader and is the ability to build an outstanding team around you, hiring, mentoring and guiding the team to achieve success both personally and professionally. Finding the right employees with the right mindset is key to moving forward to better performance.

I believe the key to producing successful business is to understand how to cultivate relationships, translate business needs into actionable solutions and empower your team by providing timely information and tools to do their job well.

I believe our ability to create a culture where people can come together to share ideas, solve problems and learn from one another defines the strength of an business, corporation or organization.

When those interactions take place in an environment of inclusivity and collaboration, we will have better experiences and, in turn, employees will perform better…because as a result of those varied inputs and insights, they will become better as a team.

The sky is the limit when we embrace the responsibility to co-create a world where each of us, our communities, and our planet can flourish.

Have an awesome day,

Bobby Glover
