Bonuses for Walmart Employees + 150,000 New Jobs

Walmart is recognizing its employees by paying a special bonus of $300 per full-time employee and $150 per part-time employee.

Every hourly associate employed by the company as of March 1 will qualify, and it will pay out on April 2. In addition to that special bonus for hourly associates, the company will accelerate the next scheduled quarterly bonus for store, club and supply chain associates a month early. When it pays out in late April, it will help provide more cash in hand for associates sooner.

As part of responding to the current environment, Walmart is also hiring 150,000 new associates through the end of May to work in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers. These roles will be temporary at first, but many will convert to permanent roles over time. We’ve reached out to industry groups representing restaurants and hospitality to facilitate temporary roles that can be a bridge for their employees during this difficult time.

Eversource is protecting their customers

Eversource announced they are implementing a "no service shutoff" measure to help alleviate any financial issues customers are facing because of the #Coronavirus. 👏 They are also helping with payment plans and spreading awareness of potential scams.

It's incredible to see companies help their customers in a dire time of need.

Jobcase bringing balance back to capitalism!

So this is the ad that Jobcase ran yesterday in local papers in major cities. Delta Air Lines shared $1.6bln with employees (other firms would have just done another shareholder buyback - not Delta). They are walking the walk in valuing their workers so Jobcase will move to reward that. Our Jobcase Team suggested that all of us Jobcasers not just consider working at delta but that we all fly delta. And Jobcase ran ads highlighting Delta In some major cities across USA. If we harness our collective consumer dollars we can impact company's income statements. If we impact their profits then companies that treat workers better will outcompete those that don’t. When that becomes obvious then all companies will start treating workers better. We will harness capitalism to balance capitalism.
We know that Jobcasers:

1) care about others 2) know we all have to drive our own work life success & 3) believe workers should b valued as much as shareholders So. Join us. Fly Delta this month.

Congrats & thnx Delta And to other companies.. we’re just getting warmed up!!! Stay tuned... Onwards & upwards. #StrongerTogether
