I didn't get along with the manager but not all of are like that.

I was the assistant manager at two of my district stores and had to go and correct 3 others in the district to get them in shape to be functional.

Low pay..overworked..dont care if u work by yourself

Well I'll keep it short and to the point. They will work the hell out of you if they need to and forget about ya when they don't. They don't want to pay their employees but the lowest possible. I was pregnant non foods manager and they let me go just before maternity leave was about to start.

Make more money of course, can't survive without it.

As a store manager, I would rather have more time off. Store managers are required to work 6 days a week with, at a bare minimum, 48 hours a week. But they do not give enough hours for hourly paid employees.

Honestly the only reason to work for Dollar General is you can move up quickly. Other then that the pay and the company sucks.
