How did you like working for Dollar General?
Loved my coworkers and customers. Always very short staffed so you are running a register and putting out freight....which might be half way across store from the register. If I work retail I would go with a bigger company that pays alot more.
I liked it at first but then the store manager used me and the made stuff up and got rid of me after she had promoted an month before
It was okay all I did was stalk the shelves and they wouldn't let me on the register till after you took a lot of test
The pay sucked, but i loved working with my co workers. My store manager had me working 3 different stores bcoz I was told I was a great and fast stocker and I was pretty good with the cash register.
Dollar General in all is a great place to work but they need to work on hiring more efficient and respectful GMS... Because they don't own their employees like they act like
horrible!!! They will use you til they are done with you
I was the assistant manager at two of my district stores and had to go and correct 3 others in the district to get them in shape to be functional.
I didn't get along with the manager but not all of are like that.
Never worked there but would like to putting in applications Never been able to get hired.
I loved working at Dollar General, my Store Manager is super great. The only thing I was not ok with was the fact that many of the employees were not on the same page. They just showed up for $$ and not to help customers. As long as you have a good team.... You will be great. They hours are good and is as well. Lots of room for growth.
