TJX is currently looking to fill 3 Human Resources Assistant openings that we have in our Bloomfield, CT HomeGoods Distribution Center.

Responsibilities: •Daily review of Associate timekeeping and coding of hours. •Modify and correct timecard as necessary and create payroll adjustments •Update and maintain the HRIS to include electronic personnel files, profiles, and personnel change status •Respond to associate inquiries regarding payroll and / or benefits •Oversee petty cash and the distribution of checks •Maintain accurate and up-to-date new hire documents, files, records, and documentation •Handle the clerical/administration function within the HR department •Maintain high degree of integrity and confidentiality •Performs other duties as assigned •This is an onsite position. •We have 3 openings and the shifts available are Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds from 6:30a.m. - 5p.m. or Weds, Thur, Fri, Sat from 9:30a.m. - 8p.m. or Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs from 4p.m. - 2:30a.m.
Requirements: •1-2 years of high-volume customer service or office-related work experience •Demonstrated ability to perform mathematic functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) •Attention to detail •Experience with Payroll in an HR Department preferred •Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication •Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism •Ability to multitask and work effectively in rapidly changing environment •Strong PC skills a must •Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
