Jobcase Basics

I have submitted several applications, but no way to follow up?
Last year, when I actually got hold of a human recruiter by phone-he suggested I first go and get some experience in SELLING timeshares.
I followed that advice and did a stint at Wyndham the second half of 2025 and then moved over to Hilton Grand Vacations in January of 2026.
I am especially excited to join Wesley Financial as my girlfriend (now domestic partner) was an owner at Wyndham and then got screwed by their in-house folks, and had her credit wrecked for years until just this month.
Please advise how I might move this process forward?
The Best!

What’s something employers do during hiring that drives you crazy?

I am a HR manager with 30 years experience and I have a manager ask something very illegal. I have stopped and tell the manager that your question puts your company in violation of in this case HIPPA REGS.

Have me fill out my work history when they have my resume.

I was forced with no choice
I accepted a job offer a month ago. After filling out all the paperwork and turned in my 2 weeks notice, I got a call from the HR of my new job. They informed me that there's been a layoff a week before my start date. I was offered the choice to keep my job but need to accept a 30% paycut. I was shocked that I was left with no choice but to accept it. I have never heard of this before and feel like it's a horrible start of my new job. Now I get less pay than my previous job with a company that I don't know where the future is. Be careful when you switch job during this bad economy.

What’s one strength you bring to every role, regardless of job title?

Sore knees! I have to talk to God!

I bring over 35 years of experience in Mt Sinai Hospital, supported over 150 individuals to become Certified Nurses Assistance.

What’s the strangest interview question you’ve ever been asked?

If your company paid you to learn a new skill, what would you choose to learn?
