Phone ettiquette, scheduling, customer service, professional demeanor and appearence & problem solving are all key things you use as a receptionist.

I would answer phones, paperwork, handling money and credit card payments. Rental agreements, Storage assistance. U-Haul rentals

I have discovered that the more office software programs you know help so much. Not to mention but I've been asked if I can address an envelope, run the copier, physical fax as well as eFax. Basic email protocols. List any software programs you know outside office. For me as a medical receptionist it's important to demonstrate that I can juggle 3-5 , software programs while scheduling an appointment or answering the phone. Hope that helps in some way.
