Currently, companies aren’t typically required to give employees a two-week notice before firing or laying them off, though it’s considered good practice to do so when possible.

For the most part we as thee employee is suppose to. Leave on good terms is probably the least. Buy say you worked for the company for 10+ years. You have house payment car payment utilities even though it's no concern to them what if your a single mother . In 10 + years you know one another. Ik me id want the lay off or determinate giving them 2 weeks
