Im in my 50. Have applied to at least 9 jobs in the last three days but no employers has yet replied back to me. I have a small job, looking for basically same position but would like to add more hours. My supervisor cut my working hours to only 24 per week to allow someone else joint the team. Not sure if that's legal though but I played her game for two years. Lately I came to find out that due to a new reorganization in our office that there is a surplus and that they will ask part timers to work more hours. Any one out there, if you happened to deal with same scenario at your working environment, please explain the logic behind all this. I have heard it from both side. My supervisor and HR point of view , and they contradicen each other. What should I do at this point?
