Only jobs I seem to be able to get is part time minimum wage work. Does not seem to matter what my skills are or my education or past successes. Its been that way my entire working like. I can't seem to get anything better. People around me act like I have never worked a day in my life. That the current job is my first job. Low wage work then long periods of unemployment. So tired of it.

Hi Mike--You gotta give me more to work with to make suggestions! First, smile, and be grateful for what you've got. Look through that list and see who can help you with your next step--your next contact, your resume update, etc. What kind of work are you trained for, skilled in, what are your successes?

Hi Mike Grauer Jr - what kinds of jobs are you looking at? Once I know that, I can help better. From your profile, it seems like you want to find something around 3D printing and journalism? I would contact some local Maker Labs and see what kinds of projects you have going. You could write a story about it, and then bring it to a local paper or local tech site and see if they like it!

From there, your foot is in the door. Journalism is definitely a hard field to make it in. Best of luck. Definitely consider a backup plan to work at while you grow your career in 3D printing/tech journalism!
