Unemployment

Hi, I had applied for PUA and I made a mistake on my first claim saying I couldn’t work or unravel to work even though I was getting frustrated filling out my first claim and didn’t pay attention to what I clicked. On the second claim I filed I said I am able to work but I am not able to certify for benetfits and not able to get in contact with EDD. I would like some help on how to get in contact with EDD or to be able to get some knowledge on how I can fix my account to be able to certify for benefits?? #unemployment #claim #pua #coronavirus #california

Call your unemployment office 2 minutes before they open and you'll be the first caller to be answered.

I call unemployment but I press the button for new claim. I call at 8 am always get through. I be waiting for at least a hour on hold. But anytime I need to fix something or ask a question. To talk to someone quick pick new claim.

Best way is too call, and choose the option for them to contact you back.

They are overwhelmed with the calls I worked for the bank that assists with this. I had the same issue . I was told to reapply when the month changed 30 days. And I am still waiting for claims from 2017 that were never handled. I wish you luck dear its unfortunate because when we call to check our own claims, no one knows jack but we get a they will eventually return your call. I'm 8 wks in now . Keep doing weekly claims until they reply they will give you back pay if qualified to get the benefits

Go to the unemployment office and they have phones to call about any problem and you get someone on the phone quicker than your phone

So I was told that the best way to get in contact with EDD is to write them a letter and send it in the mail.

i also made a mistake on my online UE form & i was sent a letter stating they wanted to see where i was going to work, who i spoken to & what was said. So since i was out actively looking for work everywhere i could but nobody is hiring here in southeast MN., once they got it then my funds were expedited. No UE office here in southeastern MN.

Hello, Alicia luv...from experience the fastest way to get in touch with EDD is to go. Into a EDD sponsored office and use their phones and you will get connected to a rep immediately and not go through all the nonsense that you have to listen to be flicking on the same number and then having your Clara ended because they have reached their quota and the call gets dropped...in CA these place is called the CAlJobs...hope this helps... good luck
