To get back into the industry after a long break, follow these steps:

  1. Build your skills: Complete your CNC degree and stay updated on industry advancements.
  2. Update your resume: Highlight relevant skills, coursework, and projects completed during school.
  3. Leverage your network: Connect with former colleagues, classmates, and industry professionals through platforms like LinkedIn and Jobcase.
  4. Gain experience: Consider internships, apprenticeships, or volunteering to demonstrate your commitment and refresh your skills.
  5. Job search strategy: Use online job search platforms like Jobcase, Indeed, and LinkedIn Jobs to find opportunities in your field. Tailor applications and cover letters to each position.
  6. Prepare for interviews: Practice common interview questions, research the company, and be ready to explain your career break and passion for CNC.
  7. Continued learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to remain competitive in your job search. Good luck! #careeradvice #jobsearch #CNC

@Brandy Galloway I used to operate a CNC Lathe in 2001. But I always see CNC jobs on Craigslist. Might want to check that out.

@Brandy Galloway Hello Brandy, it is going to be difficult but not impossible. First, do you know what an Applicant Tracking System compliant resume is?
